Cabin + Cub Design was founded by Valerie Thai in 2006 and specializes in art direction, print design and illustration for non-profit, socially conscious and sustainable companies.

Prior to creating her own company, Valerie was the award-winning head designer and art director of Adbusters Magazine for 5 years running. She holds a BFA from the University of British Columbia and a B.Des from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design.

Past and current clients include Adbusters Magazine, Artspeak Gallery, Biro Creative, British Columbia Film, Boca del Lupo Theatre Company, Change Advertising, Coast Mountain Glassworks, Givemeaning.com, Kamloops Art Gallery, Mad Duck Theatre Collective, Mango Communications, Tinlark Gallery and the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.
